About Us
SonoSmackdown was started in 2021 at UCF College of Medicine with three teams represented.
This
year 8 teams from 6 universities will compete.
Who We Are
This year a committee was formed from the USF Point of Care Ultrasound student interest group to plan Sonosmackdown 2024. Below are members of the committee. From left to right: Sarah Alfieri, Ali Karimi, Wai Lone Jonathan Ho, Parker Penny, and Brian Villa.
In 2022 USF volunteered to be the host site for the second annual sonosmackdown and will be building on last year’s foundations to foster the gathering of likeminded medical students to network, practice, and share about their sonography experience. The goal of sonosmackdown is to be an annual florida competition to prepare for national competitions and every day bedside ultrasound.
